Download Guide

  • Choose your downloads, add to your cart. We recommend MP3 format. Select FLAC format only if you have worked with it before as it is not well supported by the most popular applications. See our FAQ for more info, and check our software links for free tools to decode and play digital audio..
  • Checkout and pay for your selections.
  • Go to My Downloads, and download your files. You can download a whole show or album with a single click on "Download as Zip". Save files to your hard drive first; do not download directly to your media player application.
  • Unpack your zip. This is the critical step. Unless you use one of the few music players that can play audio directly from zip files, you will need to extract the audio (MP3 or FLAC) files from the downloaded zip to a new folder on your disk. Using the built-in support in your Windows or Mac OS, or a zip tool from our software links, open the downloaded zip file and extract the folder containing audio files to your hard disk. In most cases this is as simple as double-clicking the zip file to open it, and then dragging the enclosed folder of audio files to your desktop or other folder.
If you use iTunes, be sure to perform this step -- dragging the folder directly from the zip into your iTunes library may seem to work at first, but will result in loss of files when iTunes quits.
  • Play your new music in your favorite media application, load onto your MP3 player, or burn compact disks.
  • Make Backups! If you want your downloads to survive a hard disk crash, backup the original files you download. We suggest burning them to CD or DVD.
